See my old comment here. I think that is saying Quicken looks at the 'desktop' for the file, if the full path is not specified. I have not confirmed that today. That 5-year old comment was obviously not on Win10 which may factor in as well.0

I'm curious. If you're having trouble figuring out the default folder, why not specify the full path?
Quicken user since Q1999. Currently using QW2017.

Ps...do you have prices for stocks or funds that don't download? Ssssssh, don't tell anyone but my Q2013 still downloads prices.
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.
