Has anyone found a way to hide the huge banner image?

I have tried everything I can think of using User CSS in Firefox for Windows, but I can't find the right CSS to vanish that huge image at the top of the landing page with all the people's hands in it.
Has anyone found a way to hide it?

Use a mobile device. It doesn't show in the mobile view.

I’m missing something. How do I switch to the mobile view? I’m using Safari on iPad and still see the banner, so I must be in immobile view.

While I agree it's big, I'm not understanding how it's a problem. When I scroll down, it goes up out of sight. If it was a fixed heading as in a spreadsheet, then yes I'm with you.
