Delete a rent transaction?

Cannot delete a rent transaction ?  
Also unable to delete a "custom" category?

Thank you for taking the time to share your questions with the Community, although I apologize that you have not yet received a response.

If a rent payment was entered that needs to be deleted, you should be able to delete the transaction directly from the register view of the Rental Income account by right-clicking on the transaction or clicking the Edit gear wheel in the Actions column.



Categories can only be deleted if they have not been used.  If there are transactions using the category, those transactions will need to be re-categorized and then the custom category can be deleted. 

To see what transactions are using that category, go to the Tools menu > Category List and click on the number in the Usage column.
