Why does CHL, China Mobile Ltd, CHL, show up as Chemical Banking?
Kloee
I have tried to enter the purchase of China Mobile Ltd, CHL, several times and although Q seems to find it, when going to the purchase action, Chemical Banking shows up and China Mobile Ltd. doesn't even show in the securities list. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thank you.

Did you perhaps mark the Security List entry for China Mobile as "hidden"?
When going to Tools / Security List make sure that "show hidden securities" has a checkmark. Also make sure the list is sorted by Security Name.
If you do find the China Mobile entry, ensure it's Security Type is Stock, not Market Index or anything else.
Next, sort the Security List by Symbol. Do you have an old entry using ticker CHL? You can (but really shouldn't) have two securities using the same ticker ... that just confuses Quicken.
