It sounds from your description that you downloaded the installer, but have not launched the installer program. Go to your Downloads folder and launch the program.

I think people are getting jaded about the old PC world - vs the new world of Apps - where they get ..... downloaded, installed, icon on the Home Screen (Desktop)
