Cannot find any way of changing home currency

I am based in the UK running Quicken Deluxe in Windows 10 year 2019 version r20.15 build 27.1.20.15
i have setup an account manually because online uk bank is not supported.. nowhere in the advanced manual setup can i find currency
in fact i cannot find ANY reference on the checking account to currency...
how do i change to GBP not USD ?

Go to
Edit/Preferences/Calendar and currency
and make sure that Multicurrency support is checked.
Then go to
Tools/Currency List
and scroll down to U.K. Pound Sterling, select it and press the "Home" button near the bottom of the Currency List window.
Note that once you've created an account you can't change its currency, so you'll need to create a new account in GBP and then delete the one you created in USD.
