Monday investment portfolio DAY GAIN/LOSS figures are always totally wrong (edited to include topic)

Apparently, the problem has been existing for years, judging by the internet posts. Monday investment portfolio DAY GAIN/LOSS figures are always totally wrong. Prices are correct, market values are correct, only Day Gain/Loss figures are not. At the same time, the mobile version has it right. What!?

it seems that quicken for mac (can't remember back to qWIN versions) updates security prices over the week-end & holidays, even though the markets aren't open? my experience is that on SATs it takes FRIs prices, and on SUNs it takes the MON prices?

now if I'm looking at the 'investing' page, either column 'day gain/loss' or 'price day change' (or for that matter top right corner day gain/loss) on a MON, the values are $0.00 or 0.0%

why does quicken import a security price on days that markets aren't open?
