Transaction attachments will not open

In December 2019, I switched to the on-line version of Quicken after most recently using Q2017, and regularly upgrading versions since 2005. I am happy to report I've had very few problems along the way. Now, however, I am unable to open any attachments to transactions entered in all accounts. Any ideas?

    and what do you mean...

    ps56k, thank you for getting back to me. Sorry I was not clear, but in 12/2019 I changed from using Q2017 to Q2019. I have fixed the problem, however, after researching: Adobe failed to connect to a dde server. This may occur when the Acrobat program is not running properly. The fix that worked perfectly for me was to restart my Acrobat completely via the Task Manager (Press the Ctrl, Shift and ESC keys on keyboard at the same time to open the Task Manager). Again, I thank you for your time and attention to my inquiry.
