M&T Bank - can't even get my checking account setup - Add Account fails ??

I have been trying for hours. I have had Quicken tech support look at this, and M&T Bank has looked at this. I cannot get my primary checking loaded onto Quicken. This needs to be escalated, or I need a full refund on this product. Can anyone help?

What version -Help --> About QuickenAre you having a problem getting your M&T checking - Add Account - ?What happens - is this a normal checking acct - or one of the other accounts ?Interesting that one of the M&T entries doesn't show up in the Add Account screen -

I have seriously tried everything. After many hours of talking to Quicken and to M&T, I am ready to throw in the towel.
I have the very latest version of Quicken downloaded. I haven't been able to do anything, yet. I am completely new. Not even started...can't get it to work at all.
Is there actually a Chat service? I keep trying to find that option, but that seems to be fake as well.
Looking into cancelling at this point. Even that looks like a total pain. Hoping the scheduled call for Tuesday will finally bring some relief to this Quicken Hell.
This product has really gone downhill. Sad.0 -
I do the only option that is available to me, the M&T direct connect.
Quicken shows my checking account # and my two lines of credit #'s backing the checking.
No data.
There is some error message.
I've asked both Quicken and M&T bank. M&T says that Quicken has issues with complicated passwords, so I dumbed down my password. I'm at wit's end.0 -

and don't know what other conversations you have had...1 - What version - Help --> About Quicken2 - You try the Add Checking Account, like I show - and what exactly happens ?
you enter your M&T user ID & password - and what happens ?3 - Is there anything special you have to do on the M&T website to allow ANY outside 3rd party access to your banking accounts - some banks do - ?

There is some error message.If it is showing your checking acct numberr AND your credit card number,
then you have successfully connected between Quicken & your bank -
That is all that is happening here - the connection - no data is shown...
SO.... what happens next with this "Error Message" ?

I know the question is old - but the simplicity of the password seems to be correct. DC was working but when I changed passwords, Quicken did not like the special character in the bank password. When I changed it back, it synced right up.0
