Parallels is a program to let your Mac run Windows OS. So you can install the Windows Quicken. Don't know why it's telling you that. Are you trying to download the Windows PC Quicken?
Here is some old notes I have....
If you don't like the Mac version, you can run the Windows versions of Quicken on a Mac using something like Parallels. Google Windows on Mac to get articles on the various options.
One of the other users posted this, There are 4 popular products you can use: Parallels, VMWare Fusion, Oracle VirtualBox, or CrossOver. The first 3 require you to also buy a copy of Windows. The first 2 cost $50-80, the third is free. CrossOver also costs about $50-$80 but does NOT require you to buy Windows.I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

drbobmontes said:When I try to update it says it won't because I don't have parallels. What do you mean by "update" ?And, as mentioned, the "Parallels" software would imply you are attempting to use a Windows version of Quicken - but inside of a Mac framework...Did you download the wrong "update" - intended for a Windows computer ?
