Cost Base of Securities
Patricia Ehrman
Can you manually change a cost base of securities. Have the correct amount of stock but the cost base is not correct.

HI
@Patricia
Ehrman,
The short answer is "yes" you can adjust or modify the cost basis of securities and other investments in Quicken. Depending on how the security in question was acquired - it may be a simple edit or a little more complex if there a number of purchases and other potential transactions (like stock splits, stock dividend reinvestments, etc.).
Since you know the correct amount of the cost, the easiest approach may be to simply add or subtract the initial purchase by the amount that the cost is off by.
