How to enter expired options
bill.burt
When stock options held expire as worthless (not in the money), how does one remove the stock option? Would doing a simple Remove Shares suffice?
Thanks.

Enter the "close position" transaction that matches the transaction you used to open the position, with a price of zero. Do not use Remove Shares.
E.g., if you bought a put, sell it at zero to close the position.
If you sold a covered call, close the position with a Cover Short transaction.
