The Cmnd + N combination does this for you.

I should have been a bit clearer in my earlier response.
Open a new transaction dialog.
Key in the details.
Do not hit Enter - instead, hit Cmnd + N.
This enters (saves) the current transaction and opens up a new transaction dialog - ready for keyboard entry.

When you finish entering the info for a new transaction, Select Cmnd + N.

This will enter the transaction and open a new one.

Thanks MIke but that is exactly what I am trying to avoid....I would like to somehow have the whole register open and when the transaction is saved, it moves to next blank to enter a new transanction......this is normal in most bookkeeping and i'm thinking there must be a way in Quicken.....thanks for your help......Lydia
