Calculating Depreciation
JosFKirby
Does Quicken Home, Business & Rental Property calculate depreciation? I switched from having an accountant do my taxes and can carry on the calculations myself, but it would be nice if Quicken managed the depreciation calculation and schedule.

Short answer, no. You can accomplish in Quicken with just a bit of setup. If you know the amount of depreciation for a given period, you can setup a reminder to post the negative amount to the same account. This sets up the schedule and only requires periodic monitoring.

Ok. I can do this. However, a depreciation schedule for a Rental Property program seems like a basic function that should be included. Disappointing.
