Delete old listed checking account transactions (Q Mac)

How to delete old listed checking account transactions that say "waiting" under the Check # column. For unknown reasons, to me, these checks were not sent, and I can not delete them.

This works, sometimes: Double click the transaction, click Edit Details, click the Bill Pay tab, and then click Cancel Transaction.

Did not work. The date on the transaction was Jan 2000; it did not get delivered.

Another option that probably won't work: go to the bank website's bill pay interface. See if you can find the transaction there and cancel it. The change will (hopefully) reflect in Quicken when you sync.

If that doesn't work, there's a nuclear option. Create a new account. Drag and drop all the transactions from the old account to the new one, expect the bad one(s). Delete the old account. There may be some untoward side effects from this, so definitely make sure you have a good backup before trying.

Thanks. But that it is too drastic to set up new account; too much could go wrong. Also, the checks were never transmitted to the bank, so that won't work. This happened once before, and some combination of keystrokes deleted the checks.
