How can I differentiate multiple subcategories with the same name?

How can I differentiate multiple subcategories with the same name
Oh looking at the categories for transactions, I only see the subcategory. Miscellaneous will fall under several different categories. Is there a way of telling which category it belongs to without clicking on the transaction? For example my wife and I have different identically named sub categories as members from different categories. Is there a solution so I can see the category path?

Go into Preferences:Register and choose to show the long names:
Also, don't forget that, in addition to sub categories, you can use Tags to break out similar categories without having your Cat list become unwieldy. Don't know if that will help in your case, but keep it in mind.
