I was previously running R37.67 under windows 11 and was having periodical hangs. After installing update R38 it hangs indefinitely on startup.

Hello @don-dhondt,
Thank you for reaching out to the Quicken Community. We apologize you are having this difficulty. For this particular instance, I would recommend downloading and implementing the Mondo Patch. For instructions please refer to the Help Article linked below. When you have a moment please attempt these steps and let us know.-Quicken Paloma0 -
After installing the Mondo Patch (it installed R38.26) Quicken still hangs on start-up.1

Thinking maybe I had a hardware problem I loaded quicken on another PC and supplied the same QDATA.QDF file. It hung on the new system. I then went to a backup QDATA-2022-01-18.AM07.45.QDF-backup. It restored OK. I then did a One Step Update. It appeared to update all the accounts but hung at the end and never responded again.0

This is a common problem in these forums. Don't continue to update.
Some of us have had success going back to a prior release:

Personally, November releases got mine to work. Hope it helps..1 -
Thanks QuicklyLosingPatienz, I went back to R36.57 and it appears to be running.0
