When I select Tools > Security List > Add Security and type alphabet in the search box, both GOOG and GOOGL show up in the list to select from.  What happens after you do that?

Since you already have GOOG in your list, edit the name of that security to be "Alphabet Inc Cl C" (or similar).  After doing that you will be able to add the GOOGL variation.  You may then want to edit that security name to include the Cl A designation.

That did the trick. I edited the name of Alphabet so quicken would not be confused by it. Thank you both.
