Can I set a quick rule, while I'm changing multiple records at the same time, please? (Q Mac)

I know, that I can create a quick rule, so the transaction will be categorized automatically. I am editing multiple records at the same time (same payee etc.).
1.) Is the quick rule created from that as well? Or do I have to edit a single transaction and let Quicken save the rule?
2.) What will happen, if I will save another rule for another day for the same payee/transaction? Will the old rule be overwritten, or are there multiple same rules?
Thank you, Lukas

The correct name for this is QuickFill Rule. You need to know this if you want to search in the Quicken application's Help > Quicken Help OR, in the Help sidebar, you could explore under Basics for the Learning about registers which has a subtopic Adding QuickFill rules.delucasso said:I know, that I can create a quick rule, so the transaction will be categorized automatically. I would recommend starting there to learn about QuickFill rules.
I don't think the multiple-record facility has the auto-create facility integrated into it.1.) Is the quick rule created from that as well? Or do I have to edit a single transaction and let Quicken save the rule?
As you guessed, you have to edit a single transaction. Or you can go to Window > Payee & Rules and then click on the QuickFill Rules tab.
In general, I find that a new QuickFill rule is created for each different Category used, as well as for each variation of a split transaction. I make this general statement based on my examination of rules created over the years for Amazon and Home Depot. So, assuming you have already entered / edited some transactions to your liking, you can go to Window > Payee & Rules and examine the QuickFill Rules that have been created.2.) What will happen, if I will save another rule for another day for the same payee/transaction? Will the old rule be overwritten, or are there multiple same rules?
Hope this helps get you going.
