:s Another issue popped up today as well, when I tried to go back to an existing "current" file after going back to a backup, Quicken asked for a file password. Support says this is an issue they are working on.....
When doing updates they should be insuring everything works!!!
Again, just after announcing a price increase! AAARgh! :s >:)

I am sorry about these issues with data file passwords. Thank you for speaking with us about this here on the Quicken Community.
I was a little unclear: is the program now asking for a password in regards to a data file that you never personally set a password for? If so, restoring from a backup just prior to when this issue emerged will be the next step in this situation.
Since you may not be able to open this data file, you may try navigating to the File Explorer to find where your recent backup files have been saved.
We recommend saving backups frequently by navigating to File > Copy or Backup File... in the upper menu at the top of the screen. Provided that this has been done often, you should be able to restore from a backup that was saved just prior to when this issue emerged by navigating to File > Restore from backup... in the same menu. I am curious about whether or not this problem continues in the restored file.
I hope that is helpful.
Thank you,
Quicken Jared0
