I just realized you were using a Mac. This may not completely cover your situation, using Q Mac, but it should give you some ideas.

I cannot even download transactions back to beginning of this year (only goes to July) let alone last year -= help

I have all my bank accounts and charge cards etc set up - now want to download the transactions
