Question on start up date

I just set up a Quicken file and it didn't give me an option to put the start date for rent as January. I am prepping the units to start collecting rent for January and it is giving me a December date so am unsure how to correct this

I am not sure where you are in Quicken when you say "it is giving me a December date..."
Have you entered tenants' names yet? If you can send a screen shot, that may help.
