Reinstalling 2016

I am trying to reinstall my 2016 program on a computer running W10, but it keeps asking me for an activation code, which I don't have. I purchased it on the site in 2016 and only ever use the same email address but when I enter that email it's telling me it's not recognised (yet I can log into the site with it now). I tried to chat with support but they are no help. (I am not interested in a subscription for the uses I have for Quicken 2016.)

Unless you saved a copy of the QUICKEN.INI file from your old Quicken 2016 installation, you won't be able to get it to work.
