How to eliminate payees in mac

Hi, I just transferred quicken from Windows to Mac. I have now more than 7,000 payees and want to werase all of them and star new. How can I do it ??

Quicken in windows was much easier to use. I had it dfor more tha a decade.

    The quick answer is that you can not delete entries from the Payee List - unless it is listed as Unused.

    This the reference list for all payees used through-out your data file. Note the Uses column.

    QMac will not allow one to delete entries as this would leave blank register entries.

    You can likely do some desireable clean-up work in the list. Example - I had numerous variations of WAL MART in my file. Using the Merge feature, it is now down to me entry.
