CITI VISA (Costco) - possible false reconciliation difference flag (for a credit balance)

Mac v7.1.1

I have a credit balance for this credit card (CITI owes me). The Quicken Balance shows the correct sign (as a positive); but the Online Balance, I believe, incorrectly shows a negative sign. Thus, the unexpected sign convention for the Online Balance triggers a false reconciliation Difference, when the Difference should be the expected zero Difference (things are really ok, but the false flag suggests otherwise). I suspect a credit balance for a credit card is atypical, where the sign transformation logic has not anticipated this credit card having a credit balance (FI owes the customer).

Somehow both Q Mac and Q Windows never get an overpaid account's credit balance right.
If you perform a manual reconcile against paper statement, you'd normally type in the statement balance as a positive number if you owe money. But if the account is overpaid, then you will have to type in the amount as a negative number (-5.26)
The banks always report money you owe as positive number on their statements. In Quicken you enter this positive number and Reconcile will do the "switch sign" math under the covers.

If you can't reconcile using the Online Balance, either wait until the credit is used up by new transactions or change to reconciling against paper statement and enter the credit balance as negative number. Do not enter a balance adjustment transaction. That only makes for a bigger hole.
