Latest Update (R50.16), then flagged a Trojan - qwonlineFeatures.dll.

Quicken updated today and Windows Defender in Windows 11 flagged a Trojan (Trojan:Win32/Randet.A!plock) in qwonlineFeatures.dll.

Anyone else see this? Trying to determine if it a false positive, an infection from Quicken, or if got infected post-install.

If you aren't seeing this, can someone post an MD5 hash of a normal qwonlineFeatures.dll that I can check against mine?

Thanks.

Same thing here. Quicken will no longer open after Windows Defender quarantined that file. Installed version is 27.1.50.16.

I installed that update (27.1,50.16) about a week ago on 2 Win11 computers and no trojan was detected by Defender nor by Norton 365. Isn't defender antivirus supposed to delete that trojan?

Would uninstalling Quicken and reinstalling fix this? I read an old article about this .dll but it may not be valid information anymore….

No issues here with Windows 11 running Quicken 50.16. However, I don't have qwonlineFeatures.dll on my system. Is this a valid Quicken file? You might have a virus or, at least, been hacked.

I have that file in the Quicken Program files….. but having no issue… you may find it there also. I did a Win11 general search and it showed nothing but when I searched just the Quicken Program folder it was there…

Screenshot of my display…. ran scan on just the .dll file and Norton 360 did not flag it…

Had the same thing happen to me last night. Chatted with Support rep this morning. Claimed they had no reports of an issue (do they read their own forums?). Anyway, rep had me uninstall, download, and re-install. So far, no issues. There are reports on other sites about other applications receiving the same false positive from Defender, and only from Defender.
