Like to be able to mark a few selected entries and then print those entries with all the column in the register with a total. Is there a way to do this easily without customizing a full blown report?

Select the register entries you want to print, right click on the selection and choose Copy Transaction(s). Paste using CTRL V into your destination file.

If you can restrict the register view to show only the desired transactions (use the register's Search field AND the Filter fields, e.g., Date Range) then you can do a CTRL-P (or File / Print [register name]) to print only these transactions.
Select the exact same Date Range in the first Print selection popup view.
Done correctly, the Running Balance shows the sum of all transactions at the bottom of the report

Thanks both solutions work above and are very useful.
