How to handle replacement credit card - Elan Financial (edit)

I have an account named Desert Financial. That account was canceled and a new card was issued with a new account number. I want to keep transactions in the old account and add the new account. I did that by creating a new account named Desert Financial-New. Now my update transactions return error with Quicken is unable to update your account. Also the financial institution for both accounts is Elan Financial Services.

there are several postings about ELAN Financial not working -

when you get a replacement card -
usually you can just do the ADD ACCOUNT
and then LINK the newly found banking card to your EXISTING Quicken Account -
BUT…. since Elan seems to be having problems, hard to say what works now -
