Quicken 2017 to Windows 11 laptop

DO I need to purchase a newer version of Quicken in order to run it on Windows 11? I have Quicken Home & Business 2017 and wanted to put in on a new laptop.

Do you have the Quicken 2017 installation program? If not, you can try an app such as Zinstall or PCTrans.

You need to purchase the current version of Quicken because you can't activate/register Quicken 2017 and earlier unless you have a running copy of Quicken 2017 on another computer. The version of Windows has nothing to do with it.

I do have Quicken 2017 running on an older computer. But, I have not kept up with any annual fees to keep it current. Is there a way to put the 2017 version onto my new laptop without paying for a new subscription.?
