Recent Upgrade to R53.32, build 27.1.53.32

Recently (auto) upgraded Quicken Classic to R53.32, build 27.1.53.32, Windows 10 was left in a partially vegetated state. After an hour of troubleshooting I finally got it working again. Does anyone know what is wrong with this update and when it will be resolved? A non-technical person should avoid if you can help it. Otherwise, you will need to contact Quicken support to get yourself back up and running.
