Data conversion updates account not connected to bank?

I'm having an unusual problem. I restored a 6-month (or so) old Quicken file from Time Machine. I renamed it and moved it to a new location on my disk to try to avoid confusion with the current file. Get Info indicates it was last used 6 months ago. When I open it, it does a data conversion which suggests it is in fact an older format (so I assume not a Time Machine problem) but when it opens the data in one account, which is not connected to the bank, is up-to-date as if it was connected to the bank. Another account which IS connected to another bank does not update.

Quicken Classic Deluxe 7.4.2. MacOS Ventura 13.6.3

Any suggestions what may be happening? Thanks

Update. Doing the above with internet disconnected does the same thing so not a problem of updating. So for some reason what should be an old version of the file has current information in it. Has to be Time Machine or Quicken.

    Any suggestions?
