Why Doesn't "Accept All" Actually Accept All Transactions?

I typically select "Accept All" downloaded transactions after completing a download. I will then clean things up as necessary during my reconciliation process. Frequently (on investment accounts), Quicken accepts many but not all transactions. I get a message stating that Quicken needs more information to accept some transactions. I believe the unaccepted transactions are all sell transactions. As I manually accept each entry, I get a box asking to choose my cost basis (average cost or specific lots). I always accept the default (specific lots).

I do not understand why Quicken cannot complete these entries automatically. I never use average cost and Quicken seems perfectly capable of choosing the specific lots when I click each acceptance manually. It's a time consuming annoyance that would be nice to automate.

Try setting your preferences to be more automatic if that's what you want.
