Some split transactions in one account have changed

In one of my accounts the individual lines in split transactions are changed without my efforts.
It appears that the split transactions have changed to the details of one transaction. Each of the these has the correct total because an "adjustment line" has been added.
I appears that the changes have populated for about 2 years. All split activities for 2022 and most of 2023 have this problem. I have lost the categorizes and detail I had entered. Everything since Nov. 2023 is OK.
I have backup information for many years.
How can I change these split details to what was entered??
