eTrade (now Morgan Stanley) Dividend Transactions downloaded as Deposits - REVISITED

As mentioned in the previous post (which was closed prematurely), Dividend transactions are downloading as "Deposit", not 'Dividends'. I had followed previous discussion point instructions. As of today (3/6/24) there were new dividends to download and once again, they appear as deposits not Dividends.

No, the problem has not been resolved.

    Sounds like an E-Trade problem. I've been downloading from MSWM for decades and dividends download perfectly. I suggest you contact E-Trade technical support.

    @Rocket J Squirrel -

    As a long-time Quicken user, (20+ years), I noticed this problem first surfaced in 2023 following the Morgan Stanley events. I have verified once again that the account in Quicken is set up for Direct Connect, not Web Connect. The next dividends should post within a week's time. Until the dividends post in eTrade and I download those transactions, I will take no further action. When contacted in January, Quicken Helpdesk did not express any opinion regarding it being an eTrade problem.

    I had asked that the original post not be closed until after dividends posted in March - and it was closed anyway.
