Exchange shares within Roth IRA from one mutual fund to another

In my Roth IRA, I moved all shares from one mutual fund to another. There was a dividend from the original fund with the transaction and a sales charge for the new fund. Quicken Classic for Windows does not allow a cash balance in a Roth IRA, so I am unable to record as a sale and purchase. Quicken Help suggested using the Shares Transferred Between Accounts transaction type, but when I transfer shares back into the Roth IRA account, I am not able to choose the new mutual fund. I also tried using remove shares and add shares, but again I cannot choose the new mutual fund to add shares. How can I record this transaction?

It appears your Roth IRA account is set up as a Single Mutual Fund account. Get to the Account details and change the Yes to No. I think that will get you past these troubles.

Thank you. This is exactly the problem.
