downloads not populating existing account.

Options

Download doesn't enter correct account and then I can not move them to the correct account. Would like to correct this mispaced data, and direct to correct account. Quicken Windows 10, ver. R56.9.

    Are you trying to import a QFX file, downloaded from a bank's website?
    At the same time, is the bank account you're trying to import into still activated for downloading via One Step Update?

    You cannot download QFX file transactions into a Quicken account register which is activated for downloading.
    For a one-time QFX download

    • either deactivate the register, then import file, then reactivate again
    • or import into a new temporary account register, then select all transactions from temporary register (except the Opening Balance transaction), move all selected transactions to correct register and finally delete temporary account register.

    If your bank has recently changed their download procedures and no longer supports downloading with One Step Update you will have to perform QFX file downloads every day.
    Make sure all accounts from this bank are deactivated in Quicken so that you can import directly into the respective registers.
