When I download transactions from Sam's Club into Quicken for windows, they are showing as reconciled. Is there a setting that I have wrong because the transactions are new
After downloading, are you performing an immediate "Reconcile using online balance"? Are you also set to automatically accept downloaded transactions into the register?
The downloads are done during the "update" and are manually accepted in the register. I spoke with Quicken support today and they had me make a change in the account details, so hopefull the next time I download the problem will be resolved

What exactly did Quicken Support ask you to change?
They had me change the reconsile to paper, then change it back to automatic. In the automatic there is a box which I did not check which says to automatically reconsile
