Problem download transactions from Digital Federal Credit Union

I'm running Quicken on a Windows 11 machine. I've been downloading without incident for the past year. Starting around the 13th of May I've been asked to request a one time passcode to connect and download transactions. I'm unclear as to why the change and I would like to eliminate the need for this. Thanks for any assistance.
