ROI mistated when asset in acount are transferred from another account

I moved investment firms this year and used Quicken for Mac functionality to transfer the historical cost from the old investment firm across to the new account at the new firm in Quicken for MAC. The cost value came across at the transfer date such that the unrealized gains/losses are correctly stated. However, when I look at portfolio performance, despite the assets being in a gain position, Quicken indicates a negative ROI %. Any clues how I can fix this or is it a known bug?
