Transaction reports don't show Transfers correctly on split transactions

When a transaction includes a split with a Transfer, the account being transferred to does not appear in the Transaction report Transfer field in Mac Quicken. Instead, it just shows a count of the number of transfers in the split. e.g., if there is one transfer to a 401K account and one transfer to an HSA account in a paycheck split, then in the Transaction report the Transfer field for all rows in the split will say "2 transfers". The Transfer field for each row should either be blank (it it wasn't a transfer) or should show the account that was transferred to (the 401k account or the HSA account in this example). It shows correctly in the register, and in the Transaction report it shows correctly on the other side of the transfer (in the example, the HSA account row will show the transaction as a transfer in correctly).

Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong? I think it's the former, but thought I'd see if others had encountered this and if so how they worked around. I export this report for analysis with other tools, and this will be a pain to fix.

Thanks for any help!

I concur this is happening and it would be much better if each line listed actual account being transferred to. My guess is that Quicken is not going to call it a bug, but rather a design choice. But click Help > Submit a Problem to report it.

Agree with your comments, but will give it a shot. The current implementation isn't very useful, although given lack of complaints sounds like not many are trying to use it. I did submit a problem anyway…

As a workaround, I suppose you could put an indication of the account in the Memo field. Yup, redundant.
