How to create pie chart, report, or other view, for next year's budget?

Hi, I have created a 2025 budget.

Now I would like to see visually how much I plan to spend for each category in a pie chart (percentage and or total cost), and I'll even take a report. But I can't find an option. Am I missing it?

For example, show me per category how much I plan to spend on say, auto, or medical, food, and so on next year.

Thanks,

LRL

    Howdy, LRL:

You won't be able to get any graphs, but you should certainly be able to get a report of such, both on screen and printable.

In the 12 Month view, you can change various setting so that you see each months projected amounts and the total for the year (with the annual amount being MTD or for the year. ) I included a screenshot for the current year, but a 2025 would be similar albeit with zeros for everything.

Note the Print button I circled-that will allow you to print a summary or full annual view of how you are doing in report form. Choose Print, select what you want, and use the PDF button to open the report in Preview so you can see what your results will be on-screen. I included a copy of the Summary report as well.

    Hi John,

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll test a printed copy and go from there. The reports may give me what I want after the new year starts and the new budget populates. I tried running some reports today on my current spending but couldn't find what I wanted: a visual of my spending. Numbers have their place, but so do pictures—instant info.
