One Step Update Financial Institutions do not match my Account names

Let me start off by saying, the One Step Update (OSU) works correctly for all my online accounts.

In the beginning … the Financial Institutions (FI) listed on the OSU window (for the most part) matched my Quicken Account names. (See pictures below.)

Over time I had credit cards compromised: the FI would close that account and reissue a new card with a new account number. Then I would relink the new card number to the Quicken Account name. The second FI in the list, AT&T Universal Card (xxxx) links to my account called 'Citi Double Cash Card. That is weird but I can replace the account name with the last 4 digits and call it a day.

The worst offender in the FI list is the third from the top - 'Citibank'.
That links to the 'Costco Anywhere Visa Card ..' account.
That just doesn't seem correct! [And that was the setup from the get-go.]

Is there a way to change the FI entities, to match the Accounts without destroying the link between the two? (Is there a file I can tweak?) I have experimented and found that I can change the Account Names, but in this situation I want to change the FI entity.

Running Quicken Classic for Windows Version R59.6 on a Samsung Galaxy Book4 CoPilot+PC ARM64. By the way, how do I change my signature line.

I'm always using the current release of Quicken Classic Premier on my

You can always rename the "Account Name" as shown in the Edit Account Details dialog, but you cannot change the "Financial Institution" name. The latter is used in the OSU Update Summary screen.

You might be able to do something about the 2 AT&T card entries, to shrink it down to one entry, but only if you deactivate both cards and then use "Add Account" to add / activate them both and properly LINK them to the existing account registers. Both cards use the same ID and password, I presume.

When adding or activating an account, in the view which shows the accounts found at a bank, you do not have to accept the proposed names for new account registers. You can edit the Quicken Nickname ("Account Name") to create a different account name.

Still there must be a table/file that links the FI name to the Account. It certainly is not using the literal strings.

Thanks for the heads up on changing my signature.
