transactions going to wrong account
I've been using Quicken for many years and I've had a Citibank Checking account and Checking Plus account for many years. Downloads of transactions have always worked fine - until this past week. Now some of the Checking transactions are duplicated and downloaded to the Checking Plus register. I haven't changed anything. Is this a Quicken error or a Citibank error?

Did you have to deactivate / reactivate / reauthorize your accounts recently?
If so, it might be possible that the accounts were crosslinked to the wrong register upon reactivation.OTOH, are these transactions misclassified as transfers between the two checking accounts when in reality they should have been categorized to some expense categories? That might explain why they appear "duplicated" to both registers.
In the correct register change the transaction to show the correct category and the duplicate will disappear from the other register.0 -
Neither of those two scenarios is correct.
I didn't reactivate these accounts recently, and these are not transfers between the two accounts. They're straight up duplicates that I delete to correct the register.

Without being able to see what's going on in your registers, it's practically impossible to help troubleshoot this issue.
Next time you have this problem and before you do anything to attempt to correct it, please call Quicken Support on the phone during posted hours of operation and request help. Let them do a screen share session with you to review the situation on your computer, to determine the nature of the problem and to figure out how to fix it.
