Hi All,

I have been using Quicken 2016 Deluxe since it came out with no issues. I have it on a Windows 10 Pro machine that is getting a bit old (10 years) and I just built a new Windows 10 Pro machine that will replace this one. I have tried to get Quicken to run on the new machine and it loads fine and starts to open my working file and goes to a log in screen that is blank with no way to enter user of password. Am I stuck using the old machine if I want Quicken or do you folks have a suggestion. Thanks in advance and I have no desire to move to a pay program.

When you installed Quicken on the new computer did it install the latest update?

If not, go here to download the patch for that year. (Supplied by a Quicken user)

If after you install the patch and if it still does not work try to locate the QW.exe and make it Run as Administrator. On my Windows 11 it is
    located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Quicken
Still not working look for your .QDF file (should in Quicken folder in My Documents) and double click so that it opens Quickens.

Thank you very much! What worked for me was transferring the Intuit Data file (it was hidden until I changed to see it). Followed the instructions about loading the program and not running and changing out the data file from my working computer to my new one. Sooo Happy!

Thanks for taking the time to help me as I was not making any progress
