Does anyone use classic desktop and mobile app successfully?

I'm curious whether there is anyone in the quicken classic community who actually uses the quicken desktop application and the quicken mobile app for capturing receipts? If you do, can you post exactly what you've learned about how to do this without getting the cloud data and the application data out of sync resulting in frustrating overwrites? I can't believe that anyone is using this consistently so I'd like to hear from someone who is.

I did. A few years ago I created a similar data file to my main one and enabled Sync to "try" mobile and web, bill pay and other features I was reluctant to use. I wrote "try" because I frequently review and participate in this community and over the years learned from the SuperUsers on the best practices. My result was frequent download errors and data corruption. Bill pay had its own challenges as well. I reverted to an old backup and tried it again with similar results. I reverted again and this time disabled Sync and encountered no issues.

My current primary data file where I have never enabled Sync has remained solid and error free for years. Hopefully there are users who are using mobile successfully (like you I'd like to hear and learn from them), but it didn't work for me. Note: I am simply sharing my personal experience without any speculations. There are many community posts about this topic that I encourage you to review.

Quicken is the most valuable and beneficial program I use. It is such a comprehensive product that in my opinion and experience it would be challenging to harness its strength on a small screen. One of the best quotes I've seen on this topic is where the SuperUser wrote in this post:

QMobile/QWeb either work for a user or they don't and when they don't, the data file gets messed up. It just isn't worth the problems to be able to look at your finance's over a cup of coffee at the cafe.
