Moving Quicken to new computer - QWin on Mac via Parallels
My question is "How do I move the license of Quicken to the new computer?"
I run Quicken on a macbook in a Parallels VM for Windows 10. I upgraded my old MacBook to a new Mac Studio with the Apple silicon and what I find out is a new ARM structure which makes the old VM unreadable to the new computer. After many days I finally did get access to my old data on the new computer. I had to create a new VM under WIN11 and reinstall Quicken on Win11. Quicken said that it was installed twice and made me reinstall. It said it was getting rid of the old install. So after some merging of files in the VM I got it hooked back up to my financial data. Now everytime I start the VM it says I have 2 installations and makes me reinstall it again. How do I stop this and get Quicken to know it is now only on the new machine?

I think I figured this out. The icon left on my desktop is named Quicken. I thought it was the program. But now I think it is the setup to install the program. I am not used to Win11. I searched through the files and found another icon named Quicken and put it on the desktop. When I double clicked it the program ran without reinstalling. Strange. No wonder no one helped me.
