It has always bothered me that reports saved to the toolbar all have the exact same icons and they are not customizable.

I have many report saved on my toolbar. Each time I want to run a report, I have to hover all of the icons until I find my desired report.

Most definitely there should be a feature through which one can customize these icons per report.

The current way is very dated and not terribly helpful.

    Is this an Idea for Quicken for Windows or Quicken for Mac?
    I'm asking so the idea can be categorized ocrrectly. Right now it's in a Mac category, but your user profile says Windows user.

    If you are a Windows user,

    • have you enabled the setting to "show icons and text" in Customize Toolbar?
    • have you considered using the Reports & Graphs Center (from the Reports Menu, add this as a Toolbar icon instead of many reports icons)
    • are you aware of the fact that saving a report does not save the actual transactions as they exist in the data file at the time of saving the report? It only saves the report customization settings. Every time you open a saved report, the transactions are pulled from the data file as they exist now. If you changed or deleted transactions, the report will be different from when it was saved.
    • Save the printable report to a PDF file if you need to preserve the transaction data as of the time you generated the report.

     This is an idea for Quicken Windows, however it should apply to any Quicken product. I do have an icon for the reports and graphs Center on my toolbar. I will try using that. And yes I am aware about the issue with saving reports. My request is simply to be able to customize the icons associated with the reports that I have saved to my toolbar. Also I am aware of being able to print to PDF. This is beside the point however. I am simply requesting that the icons for reports saved on the toolbar the customizable. Thank you.
