Inet Folder contains incorrect data filename folder

Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭✭✭

This may be in the weeds but as a fix to a Discover Bank download issue we were asked to manipulate the runtime.dat file for our data file. But my C:\ProgramData\Quicken\Inet folder does not contain a folder named for my current data file where the runtime.dat file lives. Instead Quicken is using a 4 year old data file name that I used to have. I reinstalled Quicken so I have a new Program Data folder and a fresh Inet folder that contains only 3 folders.

PKD0001 is the name of a datafile I used to have 4 years ago but Quicken is still using it. My data file today is named pkd-current. Otherwise, Quicken appears to running normally. I'd like to understand how/why this is occurring and possibly correct it.

Actually I've been using the pkd-current data filename as far back as 2010. I found some old Quicken backup files with that timestamp on them. So, I'm betting that the PKD0001 is even older than that, back in the Intuit days.

Mine is the same, using an old name. I think once QWin creates the folder, it simply continues to use it regardless of data file name changes.

Good hear you've got it too. Quicken must have it cached somewhere.

I've done 2 things to test it out. I deleted the PKD0001 folder in Inet and Quicken recreated it with the same old file name. Secondly, I uninstalled Quicken and renamed it's left over folder in Program Data then reinstalled Quicken. I then opened my current data file, ran One-Step-Update and saw that Quicken recreated the folder with the same old filename. I'll probably find it somewhere deep in the registry.

Didn't find the old data filename in the registry.
