Text size in Dialog Boxes

Quicken Windows 2017 Member ✭✭

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to enlarge the text in the dialog boxes? It is so very tiny, and I have a great deal of trouble reading it. Also, are there any controls for zooming in?

My other issue is not being able to see the entire screen when I split the screen with another program, such as Excel and am working in both at the same time. All I get is a scroll bar.

I know your developers are all young studs, but for us older folks with vision issues, the program is becoming more and more difficult to use.

Any suggestions?

If you don't want to (or can't) make changes to your display settings, you can also try to use the Windows Magnifier.

On your keyboard press the Windows logo key and the = key to open Magnifier.
Click on the magnifying glass for more options.
Use the "+" or "-" icons to zoom in or out.

    @Flying99 -

You can try the "Use Large Fonts" option under the View menu option. This will enlarge most text Quicken. The only issue might be that column widths will need to be adjusted to fit the larger font.

You can also adjust the Font size in Quicken -

    • Open Quicken and go to Edit > Preferences.
    • Select Register from the left panel.
    • Click the Fonts button.
    • In the Choose Register Font dialog, select a larger font size.

You can also adjust Windows Display Settings -

    • Right-click on your desktop and select Display settings.
    • Use the slider to increase text size.
    • Click Apply, then sign out and back into Windows.

As for the window resizing issue, I most of the screens will resize to fit the main window. It seems though that the account registers will not resize, but a slider bar will appear that allows you to move left or right (or up or down) that will allow you to view all parts of the screen.

Thank you so much. I knew there was a magnifier somewhere, but I never knew how to access it.

    Appreciate your help!

Thanks … I did know about these, but there didn't seem to be any way to change the size of text in the dialog boxes themselves. I am hoping the magnifier will help here.

    Thanks again.
