Quicken Classic - can't open; Using Windows 7

Question

I usually don't ask questions and do the updates when opening Quicken Classic.  All of a sudden, I can't even open Quicken.  I believe it is because I a using Windows 7.

Is there someplace I can download an older version of Quicken Classic that works with Windows 7?

Don't know how it will work, but you could try going to file explorer and navigating to Program files(x86), Quicken, qw.exe.  Right click on qw.exe and pick properties. Then go to,the compatibility tab and choose the option to run in Windows 7 mode. Again, don't know if that will help and what consequences it might have.  Back up first.

Quicken stopped supporting Windows 7 in January 2020, so while some older versions might still function, there are no guarantees. Users have reported that Quicken may install on Windows 7, but issues can arise, especially with online services. If you're using Quicken manually (without connecting to financial institutions), it might work, but you're on your own if problems occur since official support is no longer available.
